“Ollie Palmer Shatters Wrexham Record with Stellar Performance Against Swindon”

Ollie Palmer shines in his debut with Swindon Town, netting another goal over the weekend.

Ollie Palmer Scores for Swindon Town, Surpassing His Wrexham Goal Total

Palmer’s contract with Wrexham was concluded in late August, enabling him to pursue opportunities elsewhere. The 33-year-old has since transitioned to League Two, where he is now with Swindon Town.

Before his departure, Palmer’s final appearance for Wrexham was a notable one—he came off the bench to score two goals in the first round of the Carabao Cup against Hull City.

At Swindon, Palmer kicked off his scoring streak on September 2 with a goal against Reading in the EFL Trophy. Recently, he found the net again by scoring the opening goal just seven minutes into a League Two clash against Bromley.

This latest goal brought his tally for the 2025/26 season to four, already exceeding the three goals he achieved in all competitions while at Wrexham last season.

Reflections from Ollie Palmer on His Wrexham Experience

Palmer joined Wrexham in January 2022 from AFC Wimbledon for a then club-record fee, quickly becoming a fan favorite with several impressive seasons in North Wales. He maintains ties to the club through his Wrexham Clothing brand.

Upon his exit, Palmer expressed a desire to one day return to the Racecourse, stating, “Being part of this football club has been an immense honor, and the achievements we’ve made together mean a lot. There will be many more great moments ahead for this club.”

He added, “In the future, I want to be able to watch games from the stands and enjoy them like a fan. The bonds formed in the locker room are incredibly strong, and our successes have only reinforced those connections. This club holds a special place in my heart that will last a lifetime.”

Palmer concluded, “These past three and a half years have been the most fulfilling of my career, a part of my journey that I will cherish forever.”
