“Potential Opponents for Wrexham in Carabao Cup Fourth Round: Liverpool, Man City and Upcoming Draw Date”

Wrexham secured a comfortable 2-0 victory against struggling Reading in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

The Dragons triumphed thanks to Nathan Broadhead, who scored his first two goals for the team after joining from Ipswich Town in a record-setting summer transfer.

Under the management of Phil Parkinson, Wrexham has advanced to the fourth round of the League Cup for the first time since the 1977/78 season. The team has a strong possibility of reaching the quarter-finals.

Several Football League teams remain in the competition alongside prominent Premier League clubs.

Potential Opponents for Wrexham in the Carabao Cup Fourth Round

As Wrexham eyes the next round, they find themselves among a mix of Premier League powerhouses and other Football League squads, all eager to create surprises.

The list of remaining teams includes Grimsby Town, Brentford, Crystal Palace, Swansea City, Brighton, Cardiff City, Fulham, Chelsea, Wycombe Wanderers, Wolves, and league leaders Liverpool.

This opens the door for a potential Welsh derby against Swansea or Cardiff or a high-stakes match against top-tier teams like Liverpool or another one of the Premier League clubs playing on Wednesday night.

Schedule for the Carabao Cup Fourth Round Draw

On Wednesday night, additional Carabao Cup fixtures will feature four Premier League teams in action.

Huddersfield Town is set to compete against Manchester City, Newcastle United faces Bradford City, Tottenham will take on Doncaster, and Arsenal will visit Port Vale.

The Arsenal match is scheduled to kick off at 8 PM, with the draw for the fourth round taking place immediately after the game concludes, broadcast live on Sky Sports Football.

Notably, Wrexham is assigned ball no.11 for the draw, with the fourth-round matches planned for the week starting October 27th.

Prize Money for Fourth Round Victory

This season, Wrexham has already generated some revenue from their Carabao Cup performances. After their victory over Hull City in the first round, the club received £5,000, increased to £7,000 after their second-round win, and £10,000 for the third round.

Should Wrexham prevail in the fourth round, they will not only secure a place in the quarter-finals but also earn an additional £15,000 in prize money.
